Do I need my own piano or keyboard?
Having an instrument at home is always recommended. Practice between lessons is where real progress happens. A quality piano or keyboard lets you build muscle memory, develop proper touch and technique, and truly feel the keys the way a pianist should. Johnny can advise on the right instrument for your level and budget.
What skill level do you teach?
All levels are welcome, from complete beginners who have never touched a piano to intermediate players looking to refine their technique.
How long are lessons?
Lessons are available in 30-minute or 60-minute sessions, depending on your goals and availability.
Where are lessons held?
Lessons are flexible based on your situation. If you don't have a piano or keyboard at home, you're welcome to come to Johnny's location in New York City. If you do have an instrument, Johnny can travel to you. For students outside the NYC area, online lessons via video call are also available.
How quickly will I see progress?
Most students are playing simple songs within their first few lessons. With consistent practice, real progress comes faster than you might expect.
